Hello, I'm Dan. I bought my first firearm at eighteen and developed an early interest in shooting. After a hiatus, I returned to firearms with a focus on responsible ownership, investing heavily in training and education. In 2021, my wife and I earned our concealed carry permits, and I've since dedicated time to professional instruction, including lifesaving First Aid and active shooter courses. As a certified instructor, I now help both new and advanced shooters improve their skills, emphasizing speed, accuracy, accountability, and ongoing growth—primarily with pistols and AR rifles. I look forward to supporting your journey toward safe and skilled firearm use.

Participants receive practical, hands-on instruction intended to foster confidence and promote the development of independent skill evaluation for sustained improvement beyond the classroom setting. Upon successful completion, the student will become equipped as a responsible firearm owner, possessing the core competencies necessary to progress further within this discipline. The course presents a challenging yet welcoming environment to help you continue your growth in your journey as a responsible armed citizen.

This course includes:

· An introduction to pistol shooting fundamentals.

· Detailed examination of core shooting principles

· Structured pistol shooting drills.

· Instruction on reloading methods

· Emphasis on proper grip and bone support

· Guidance on achieving correct sight alignment and sight picture.

· Procedures for drawing and retention from an OWB holster

· Overview of various weapon and safety conditions

· Training for both strong and support side shooting

· Analysis of common pistol malfunctions and their resolution

Price: $300 to purchase this course, the course will run from 8am -5pm approximately.

1 hour lunch from 12-1 pm or earlier if everyone desires. After lunch, class will run till completion, then clean up and debrief, and receive a certificate of completion. I will contact you via email approximately two weeks from the course date to provide you with an exact location for the training. Which will be at Ben-Avery Shooting Facility. OWB (Outside the waistband) or IWB (Inside the waistband) Holster - Reliable and sturdy EDC (everyday carry) belt - At least 1 magazine holder - 3 magazines total - Reliable EDC Pistol, Full size frame recommended - 600-700 rounds of ammunition - Ear & Eye Protection - Permanent Marker - Appropriate Clothing for Range - Weapons maintenance & cleaning equipment.

CAUTION:

Due to recent and ongoing challenges, including a fatal incident. For the safety of yourself and everyone attending this class, Sig P320 Gun will not be allowed.

Dans-defense courses are non-refundable within 30 days of the originally scheduled course date, and processing fees cannot be refunded. If Dans-defense reschedules a course due to an obligation, the 30-day policy will apply to the new date.
